Returns & Claims Policy

How to report a damaged, wrong or defective part, and when returns and replacements are accepted.

Last updated 14 October 2026

TechNix parts are made and supplied for the trade. This policy explains what you can claim for, how to raise a claim and what we do about it. It applies to goods supplied by TechNix Rubber LLP. If you bought from a TechNix distributor, please make the claim through them, and they will take it up with us where needed.

1. What you can claim for

  • Damage in transit: the goods or their packing arrived damaged.
  • Wrong or short supply: the part, quantity or specification differs from the confirmed order or invoice.
  • Manufacturing defect: a fault in material or workmanship that shows when the part is correctly fitted and used normally.

2. What is not covered

  • Parts ordered against the wrong model, year, variant or OE reference where the order matched what was supplied. Please check fitment before ordering, as set out in our Product & Fitment Disclaimer.
  • Normal wear and tear, and ageing of rubber that has been stored or used outside normal conditions.
  • Damage from wrong fitting, missing or damaged related parts, accidents, overloading, modification, oil or chemical contamination, or use outside the vehicle's specification.
  • Parts that have been fitted, cut, altered or repaired, unless the claim is for a defect that appeared on fitting.
  • Special or made-to-order items, unless they are defective or not as ordered.
  • Consequential costs such as labour, towing, vehicle downtime or loss of business.

3. Time limits

  • Transit damage and wrong or short supply: tell us within 48 hours of delivery, and note the damage or shortage on the delivery receipt or lorry receipt at the time.
  • Manufacturing defects: report as soon as you find them, and in any case within the period in your commercial terms. If none is stated, please report within 6 months of the invoice date.

Claims made after these periods may not be accepted.

4. How to make a claim

Write to info@technixauto.com or message us on WhatsApp at +91 87793 46551. Please include:

  • the TechNix part number and description,
  • your order reference and the invoice number and date,
  • the quantity affected,
  • the reason for the claim, with clear photographs or a short video of the part, its packing and its label, and, for a fitment or defect claim, the vehicle model and year, and where it was fitted.

Please keep the part and its packing. We may ask you to send the part back for inspection.

5. How we handle it

We will acknowledge your claim and may ask for more information. We assess it against the order, the invoice, our records, your photographs and, where needed, the returned part. We will tell you the outcome in writing. If a claim is accepted, we will, at our choice and depending on the case, replace the part, issue a credit note, or refund the amount by the same mode of payment. We will bear the return freight for accepted claims, and you bear it if the claim is not accepted.

6. Returns of goods ordered in error

We do not accept returns of correctly supplied goods as a matter of right. If you ask, we may agree to take back unused parts in their original, undamaged packing within 7 days of delivery. This needs our written approval before the goods are sent, and a restocking charge and return freight may apply. Goods sent back without approval will not be accepted.

7. Warranty

Any warranty on TechNix products is as stated in the commercial terms agreed with you or your distributor. This policy does not add to or reduce your statutory rights.
